Prof. Dr. C. J. Venkatakrishnan MDS, Ph.D, FISDR, FICD.

Prof. Dr. C. J. Venkatakrishnan is a versatile person who is a clinician par excellence, a respected teacher, a mentor and a guide. He carries with him vast experience of more than 20 years in the field of Dental Educational and Administration. He has held several prestigious positions including

• Vice President of Indian Society of Dental Research (ISDR)
• Vice President of Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS)
• Secretary of Indian Prosthodontic Society Tamilnadu and Puducherry Regional branch.

Currently he serves as the President-Elect of IPS-TN&PY branch. His superior administration skills saw him serve as an Executive Committee Member for many years in several Dental and Research Societies. He has overseen the conduct of National level conferences and symposiums.

Dr.C. J. Venkatakrishnan completed his under-graduation from Ragas Dental College (1997) and thereafter went on to pursue post-graduation (Prosthodontics) in prestigious Tamilnadu Government Dental College (2002). His keen interest in academics and research urged him to complete Ph.D (Implantology)from Bharath University. He was awarded the Fellowship of International College of Dentist, Fellowship of Indian Society of Dental Research. He has completed the clinical course on Maxillofacial rehabilitation from Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Technologists United Kingdom.

He serves in the core committee of the board of dental studies in several universities in India including the prestisious Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University Chennai. His contribution to progress of the dentistry is immense which is evident from several high impact Publications in International and National Journals. He serves on the editorial board of several esteemed scientific journals. He is also asort after speaker who has delivered several guest lectures in National and International forums.

He also has the credit of being an examiner to undergraduate and PhD examinations in various universities throughout India. He is a recognized council inspector on behalf of the Dental Council of India and Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University.

To sum up he is an epitome of simpler thoughts, greater deeds and an accomplished person.
