National Oral Cancer Registry (IDA)

MOU signed for Shared commitments with National Oral Cancer Registry of Indian Dental Association, to create advocacy to provide a centralised pooling of data on precancerous lesions and conditions and oral cancer cases across the nation on 1st January 2019 for a period of 3 years. The parties have together agreed to develop an atlas of oral precancerous lesions and conditions and established cancer cases.

  • The IDA will provide with the software to enter all the information regarding pre malignant lesion, conditions and oral cancer cases and maintain the database.
  • The college will have to systematically collect the said data in order to understand trends in the occurrence of oral cancer occurrence and enter the data in the software.
  • All new, ongoing and treated cases registered with the institution should be entered.
  • Only the college and IDA will have access to all the data entered and maintain confidentiality.
  • All data collected will be complied into a report at the end of the year and the college will get the credit for the data entered by them when the data is published.
  • The college will be recognised for authentic data in the Indian National Conference of the following year.
